Former NTIS cricketers D’Arcy Short and Kane Richardson are a chance to make the World Cup squad having been recently included into the Australian ODI squad to tour India.

Short, initially left out of the squad, has earned a reprieve being called in to help cover for Shaun Marsh who remains home with the upcoming birth off his child. The call up comes off the back of some scintillating form in the Big Bash League, where he is the competition’s leading run scorer for Hobart this season.

Richardson’s exceptional form for Melbourne in the BBL has also not gone unnoticed. Currently the leading wicket taker of the competition (24 wickets), Richardson will commence the tour full of confidence to help add to a dynamic Australian bowling attack. The tour of India will begin on February 24th, where Australia will play two T20 internationals and five ODI’s.
