NTIS supported Hockey athletes Brooke Peris and Jeremy Hayward have both been selected for the inaugural FIH Pro League matches this weekend in Melbourne, for the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras respectively.

Australia will play their opening matches in the world-first FIH Pro League which pits the world’s best nations against each other on a weekly home and away basis. Hayward’s world number two Kookaburras will play last month’s World Cup runners-up the Netherlands (ranked third) on the Saturday, before taking on the World Cup winners Belgium (ranked first) on the Sunday. Peris’ Hockeyroos matches will take place post the men’s game following the same schedule, taking on the reigning World Cup Champions the Dutch (ranked 1) on Saturday, followed by a match up against the 13th-ranked Belgium on the Sunday.

All four matches will take place at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Melbourne and will be broadcast on FOX Sports.
