First Tourism NT campaign launches in Shenzhen, China

In preparation for Donghai Airlines commencing direct flights from Shenzhen in China to Darwin, Tourism NT has launched its first dedicated tourism campaign within Shenzhen and Southern China.

Minister for Tourism and Culture, Lauren Moss said the campaign promotes Darwin as the gateway to Australia, highlights the new 5 ½ hour direct flight from Shenzhen and showcases Darwin and the Top End as a must-see bucket-list destination for Chinese travellers.

The Old Post Office at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station will spring to life with the sound of Morse signals as visiting telegraphists fire up the Old Telegraph Line and start clicking out messages down the line.

Turbocharging Live Alice Mparntwe Arts Program

Minister for Tourism and Culture, Lauren Moss announced today as part of the Territory Labor Government’s Turbocharging Tourism $103 million stimulus package, the extension of the Live Alice Mparntwe Arts program with a third round. An additional $250,000 will enrich and activate the Alice Springs CBD with live music, dance performances and interactive workshops.

New Oval to be built for Elliott

The Territory Labor Government announced today $500,000 has been allocated to the Barkly Regional Council to build a new oval in Elliott. The funding is part of the $5 million Remote Sport Infrastructure Program.
