Bushwalking and Camping Standards released for public consultation

The draft standards for Bushwalking and Camping for the Australian Adventure Activity Standards (Australian AAS) has just been released for public comment.

Feedback submissions will close on the 9.00am (AEST) 29 May 2017.

The Australian AAS will provide a best practice framework for safe and responsible planning and delivery of a wide range of outdoor adventure activities throughout Australia. It will improve community and participant outdoor experiences, along with continuing to improve the safety practice standards. Development of the Australian AAS will involve combining and streamlining the current state standards to reduce red tape. Peak bodies across Australia are collaborating on the project.
