Update on Tjuwaliyn (Douglas) Hot Springs
The Department of Tourism Sport and Culture, Parks and Wildlife Division is working with Traditional Owners and the Northern Land Council to reach agreement on arrangements for operating Tjuwaliyn (Douglas Hot Springs), including proposed upgrades to the water supply for the park.
It is important that arrangements align with the aspirations of the Traditional Owners, and comply with frameworks for the protection of the environment and sacred sites.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, consultations with Traditional Owners have been deferred, but will resume as soon as possible.
