Channel NT - Virtual Territory

Through Channel NT and the Virtual Territory producer, our aim is to curate and showcase Territory artists through existing and new content and to connect with the broader community. Working with Arts NT, the Virtual Producer will establish the online platform (including terms and conditions of the platform and copyright owner consent arrangements), develop and oversee content curation and management.

Grant funding is available to support artists and creatives develop content for use through Channel NT and other relevant channels.

Funding available

Up to $10,000 per applicant.

Primary grant objectives

  • showcase the artistic talent and works of Northern Territory artists
  • enable artists and organisations to explore news ways to engage with communities and showcase their work
  • support innovative and sustainable digital platforms that contribute to NT arts sector development
  • employment of NT artists and arts workers

Who can apply?

Individuals

Individual applicants must be Australian citizens or have permanent residence status, be over 18 and current residents of the NT. Employees of the NT Government are ineligible where there is a direct conflict of interest.

Groups

Groups not legally constituted must identify an individual in the group to be legally and financially responsible for the grant. The responsible individual must meet the above criteria for individuals.

Organisations

Organisations must be legally constituted and not-for-profit, and have their main place of business registered in the NT.

All eligible grant applicants including individuals, sole traders, groups, unincorporated associations and not for profit organisations must have an ABN which matches the name of the bank account into which the funds will be paid. Applicants that do not have an ABN will need to nominate and eligible administrator for the grant.

For-profit businesses are ineligible, but can partner with eligible applicants.

Closing: 11 May 2020

Notification: From 20 May 2020

Activity Start Date: activity cannot commence prior to notification date
