Message from the Chair of the Creative Industries COVID-19 Recovery Working Group

Good afternoon

As you may be aware, the NT Government recently established the Creative Industries COVID-19 Recovery Working Group.

The Group has been tasked with providing expert, strategic advice to inform the response and recovery of the creative industries sector to COVID-19, and to support the sustainability, health, well-being and growth of the sector.

I am really pleased our membership reflects the 12 subsectors of the creative industries from across the NT and I am sure there will be many familiar names - myself as Chair; Kevin Banbury; Polly Banks; Jo Best; Andrew Hyde; James Mangohig; Djambawa Marawili; Christina Davidson; Kate Morrissey; Angela O’Donnell; Anna Savvas; Frankie Snowdon; Mark Smith; Claire Summers; and Mary Jane Warfield.

Our immediate priority is to provide a cohesive submission to the Territory Economic Reconstruction Commission on the opportunities and issues for the sector as the Territory responds to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We strongly value the input of the creative industries into this work.

If you would like the Working Group to be aware of any issues or opportunities in the economic response to COVID-19, or to find out more about the Working Group, I encourage you to contact us at
