Indigenous employment and collaboration
Department of Arts and Museums is a diverse agency. Its divisions include Museums and Art Galleries of the Northern Territory (MAGNT), the Northern Territory Library, Araluen Cultural Precinct, Screen Territory and the Northern Territory Archives Service.
It has a presence in all regions of the NT and provides employment opportunities in a wide range of classifications in these regions.
The Indigenous Employment and Career Development Strategy increases the agency's potential to further diversify as an agency and be a key contributor to the NT's working future target to halve the gap in employment outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians within a decade.
To improve and build on the NT's community capacity, the department works with, provides grants, involves and supports community to achieve a diverse range of collaborative outcomes.
